The week since my last post has been pretty calm and steady. I am working on finishing up Elias's fiddle textures and begin the Gumbo pot textures tomorrow :

I am currently working on getting a first texture pass complete on the fiddle model. It has been a lot more difficult to UV than I expected. I was the one who created this model last semester so that made the process a little less challenging; however, I noticed some bad mesh and spent the majority of this week trying to fix that and figure out some complex UVs. Though this work was frustrating at points, I am glad I spent the time doing this. Applying textures has been going a lot smoother because I didn't take any short cuts on my UVs and since this is a main model, I really had to spend my time on this.
Over this week I was also assigned some deadlines and other pipeline tasks! I have until November 7th to have all the swamp asset textures ready, including revisions on notes. I also was assigned to help out with lighting when necessary! Finally, I have also been in touch with a student musician who can provide the trumpet music for Theo! My group has been working on solidifying sheet music, but we seem to have some musicians ready, who want to help us out.
As I wrote earlier, my next asset for texturing is the Gumbo pot. I am super excited to texture this because I worked on the concept art and have a clear vision and workflow ready. I have been really enjoying the texturing process and feel like I am growing in my skills with each prop/character/environment I work on. I have some more challenging assets waiting for me later this semester but feel like I will be very prepared as I move onto them.
