I am still moving forward with texturing new assets, along with working on old revisions and getting ready for the final production pass. I have until the 25th to get all my work so far plugged into maya so the animators are able to render out the new scenes. I was able to plug the swamp ground texture into the master environment scene this week and it looks super great!

I also was working on the stage textures for the interior of the music hall. We have lots of concept art, so I was referencing the colors! Here is the concept art, illustrated by Loris and my progress on the music hall:


I still have a long way to go! I got sick this past week and fell behind on some of my assets, so this weekend I will need to work extra in order to get them approved and plugged in on time.
I am very excited for the break and think it'll be a nice chance to relax and prepare for the last weeks before our production pass. In class on Thursday, I discussed with some of my team members the plan for the hair simulation and compositing. We decided that during the last couple of weeks of winter break we would do a test scene to make sure the simulation works and if we should proceed with it or switch to modeled hair/clothes. I need to watch some videos and tutorials on compositing since it has been a while since I have done it; However, I am excited to work on something new and different for the film!
