During this last week I didn't do much other than continue to work on concepts! I focused in on finishing Madam Gator's props this Monday and started on Elias's.
After submitting the cauldron concept to my team, I worked with Dane (modeler) to add some more fun details that really rounded off the look of it. I can't wait for it to be seen in the film.
To finish Madam Gator's props, she needed a clarinet and a cigarette holder.

Here is the concept for the cigarette holder! I decided to keep it fairly simple and use typical colors. I debated on making it more fancy; However, it is a more subtle prop.
Next, I worked on the clarinet.

I sent this into the rest of my group, and they all thought that it could use some more contrast. I decided to adjust the hue and make the purple pop out a bit more. Here is the final look of that change.

Moving onto Elias's concepts I had to create a pirogue and a pipe. The pipe concept was pretty straight forward, and much like Madam Gator's cigarette holder I went with a simple design.

Next up is Elias's boat. On Monday I spent time with my team talking about ways to make the boat unique to Elias and show that he owns it. I gave the idea that his name could be painted on, and some of my group members thought it would be cool to have his face etched into the wood. I went back and used some early concept character sketches to base this idea off of.

I still need to make modifications of the fiddle and trumpet instruments, as well as some new sketches of props within Madam Gator's swamp house (new editions). I hope to get this done tomorrow and Friday and then begin on the boat model starting next week. I have a lot on my plate including other class work, so the rest of this week is going to be a busy one for me.
