This past week has just been steady working for me. I was able to finish up Elias's boat model and present it in class this Monday to get a sign off. After talking with my group, they thought I could make it appear more cartoony, so I worked on this with some help from my group until the end of class on Monday and got approval!

Here is a screenshot of my workspace with the Boat model. I will turn it into a turn table sometime soon, so that it can be 100% checked off.
Next, I was able to begin Elias's fiddle model on Tuesday and got an extension on it, so it isn't due until after spring break. By the end of this week, I was able to finish up the base shape and end up with something like this:

It is super simple so far, but I had a lot of trouble with the mesh pulling on the corners and spent a while trying to fix that up.
I will be working a lot over spring break to get this fiddle looking good and ready for revisions. I am nervous about some of the fiddle elements that I need to try and model, and think it'll require a lot of troubleshooting.
It has been kind of fast paced, getting back into hard surface modeling, I find that I needed a lot of reminders while working on the Boat. Though it is a lot of work and another learning curve for me, I am enjoying what I am creating!
